能用please就不用kindly

kindly並非很客氣翻譯說法。《朗文高級辭典》kindly 條的解釋是：「Kindly 意思是請，但常常表示，說話的人感覺被打擾的時候用的翻譯社」

Longman exam dictionary:Kindly is a word which means please 翻譯公司 but is used by the speaker when he is annoyed (so it is used 'ironically', in a sense)

英語學者John Bremner提到 kindly:"Kindly" is stronger and more formal than "please" and tends to connote the idea of "Do this -- or else" （ Kindly 比 please語氣強，更正式，常常帶「你要如許做─ ─不然」寄義）。

kindly 有 please 的意思，兩字沒必要並用； kindly有不寫意味，例如：Kindly turn the radio down while I am working. （我在工作，請你把收音機調小聲一點）。這一句翻譯kindly是較強烈的要求翻譯社

要客虛心氣的說「請」，please 比 kindly 簡單而天然。
Current English Usage 說： Do not use "kindly" in requests where "please" will do （提出要求，可以說please ,就不要說 kindly ）。

Kindly和please不是沒有互用的時刻，舉例以下：
（ 1 ） Kindly shut the door（。-> 翻譯社|,-> 翻譯公司|的-> 翻譯請關上門）。
（ 2 ） Would you kindly leave me alone （請不要打攪我）翻譯社

第一句翻譯kindly可用please代替，第二句的 kindly 則有不滿含義，不宜改為 please 。
